Ivey Johnson is going to Surry Community College to play Softball next season. “I'm very excited about going to Surry Community College to play softball,” she says, adding that she has always wanted to play for a big college and Surry Community College can provide her with that opportunity. She has been playing Softball for 11 years.
She says she feels at home with the SCC folks, and she's not even there yet. She says her biggest fear is losing her catching position, however she feels her strongest point is her defense. She also says she's looking forward to the longer season at Surry Community College.
Johnson hopes her senior season at Surry Central is something special for her and that the team can have a deep run in this year's State playoffs.
