Softball Looks For Strong Second Half

With wins in four of the last five games, the Lady Eagles Softball team finds itself playing its best ball of the season. The Lady Eagles have defeated both area defending conference champions the last two times out, defeating East Surry (6-3) and Forbush (8-2). And while the pitching of Elise Austin has been pretty solid most of the year, it's the offense that has shown improvement by averaging over 6 runs a game during the stretch.
